¶ Getting Started
To begin, you will need a Pickaxe, which you will receive for free upon reaching level 25. However, if you lose it, you can buy it again from Kevin, located at the NPC teleport. Once obtained, use the pickaxe to break some stones that look like these: 
, which can be found in certain respawns, such as Cyclops, Dwarfs, etc. After obtaining enough stones, you can craft your first axe, the Stone Axe, which will allow you to start cutting your first trees, which look like these: 
¶ Woodcutting Mechanics
To mine, you will need to right-click your tool in hand and left-click on the desired ore. Doing so, assuming your pickaxe is strong enough to mine the ore, an animation will start indicating the collection progress. This means you will need to complete the animation to collect the ore.
If you are unsure what can be mined, you can right-click your mining tool and left-click on yourself or anything that is not ore to highlight the collectible ores on the screen.
¶ Tools and Trees
Currently, there are seven types of trees and seven levels of tools, which will be listed below.
Upgrading your tool will not only allow you to collect better materials, but also improve the amount of materials collected from a single tree.
You can find trees scattered throughout BlackTalon's hunting areas and cities.

¶ Special Nodes
Sometimes, a special tree will appear instead of the normal one, with a 5% chance. Collecting these special trees will reward you five times the normal amount.
